Finally, after trekking some 700 feet up the mountainside, the path you follow splits under the shadow of a sharp tongue of rock that extends perpendicular from the cliff face. A great longhouse sits atop this outthrust stone. Steps carved into the cliff to either side of the rocky protrusion lead upwards through apertures in the longhouse floor. Welcome to the dwelling of Ranundr the Red, Jarl of Nilmgard.
