Oltenița

Scenario D01: The Battle of Oltenița. 4 November 1853

The Battle of Oltenița was the first, relatively significant, battle of the Crimean War in the Danubian theater.

A small part of Omer Pasha's troops crossed the Danube near Tortukai. Three days later, the Russian troops of General P.A. Dannenberg attacked the Turks, who had fortified themselves in the Oltenița stone quarantine.

The scenario is designed for nine rounds, but since the Russian commander, having decided that in case of final success the quarantine could not be maintained, ordered a retreat, the number of rounds can be increased to 11 (at the discretion of the players).

Attention: You need the base game to play this scenario.
