I would like to announce a new free set of miniature and campaign rules for the crusades era.

Princes of the East is the campaign game component, where players choose between 8 nations to rule. Included are rules for trade, forming governments (with individual councillors who can aid or hinder you), skullduggery, and military action. A siege sub game is included, as are the maps, charts, and counters.

Ironbow is the miniatures ruleset which brings out the flavor of the period like no set before it. Army lists and scenario creation rules are included, as are some beautiful counters and cards made by a professional graphic artist.

The rules are available at no cost, through the publisher does suggest a donation to his favorite charities. The download for each ruleset is a single zipped file, containing a pdf-format file with the rules. The files are several megs in size, and depending on your internet access, may take ten minutes or more to download.
