New Logos for Askari Minis

Back to Hobby News

Mad Guru writes:

I'm a colonial gamer and a big fan of your old, more modest, Foreign Legion fort logo, which I'd venture to say over the years has attained "iconic" status in our niche of the hobby -- or at least "instantly recognizable" status -- so I will be sorry to see it go. But having said that, I think both of your new logos look very good.

Askari Minis announces:

You will start seeing a new image on our World War II products. The Foreign Legion fort that we use for our Colonial products didn't quite fit for the World War II range – especially as we expand out of North Africa and into Italy, the Balkans, and the Eastern Front. The plain brown label that you saw instead on our World War II bags was… well, boring.

I'll use up some existing stock, but soon this is what you'll see on all our World War II packs.

And for the Colonials…

Colonial logo

The Colonial logo will be getting a makeover, too.

The Foreign Legion Fort logo has served Askari well, but I thought it was time to spruce up that logo as well. This painting is based on a photo of a Moroccan ksar I took back in 2005.

Look for these new labels sometime in the spring or summer.

I'd love to read any feedback you have on these new images/logos.
