Great Raid of 1840

The Great Raid of 1840, also the known as the Great Comanche Raid, is the subject of our first issue of Campaigns of the American West. In this series, we hope to publish quarterly self-contained miniature wargame campaign games in a newsletter format. These will center on 19th Century wars between the native peoples of North America and the United States, each featuring a specific campaign.

This issue focuses on the Comanche attack of Linnville, Texas, as well as the Battle of Plum Creek near Lockhart, rolled into a short campaign game of three scenarios using Rebels and Patriots rules by Osprey Publishing.

We hope you enjoy our first offering.

Next issue will be Kit Carson and First Adobe Walls.
