Workshop Schedule
- 10:00-11:30 – Fur, Faces and Trim Using Victrix Romans (Maximum Six People)
The devil is in the detail.
Come along and have a tutorial about painting the details on a Roman Legionnaire, using simple effective methods to really make your models stand out on the battlefield. Sir, we need reinforcements now!
Painted armies work better on the tabletop, it's a known fact in wargaming, the fickle dice gods prefer painted models. Come along and learn some techniques, methods and strategies to get your models from basecoated to full battle readiness in quick time. Paint a fire team, then take them away with you, plus a little extra – a prize for the best painted squad!- 12:00-14:00 – Terrain-Building Competition, Using Mantic Plastics (Maximum Six People)
Knowledge of the terrain is key to success.
Painted armies are great, but what makes a game really interesting is the terrain you are fighting over. We have a big box of Mantic Games terrain. Come along, get the clippers out, and get building. Take the piece you make away with you, and have the chance to win a prize for the best piece as judged by Ronnie Renton.- 14:00-15:00 – Painting Medieval Armor - Using Perry Plastics (Maximum Six People)
Medieval period gaming needs knights in shining armor.
Metallics can be daunting for new painters, so why not come along and pick up a few tips for painting metallic armor. From the brightest gold to well-worn steel. Paint your knight, take him home with you. The most flamboyant knight gets to take home the prize. (Is it a fair maiden's heart or (more likely) some figures?)- 15:00-17:00 – Tankograd 2016 - Warlord Plastic Tanks OR Portuguese Cacacdores for the Napoleonic Era (Maximum Six People per Split Session, Twelve in Total)
Drive the enemy back with your armored fury! or Brave Portugal aids their allies!
We're going to turn the Hobby U into a Tank Factory for two hours or you can spend some time building a small force of Napoleonic-era Portuguese Cacadores. You will learn some simple painting methods to help you get a tank or skirmish force on to the front lines in double-quick time. Take your efforts home with you and more!
