This volume details the separatist battalions Somalia, Sparta and Vostok in the Donetsk region of the Donbass – the Russian-backed (and now invaded) region comprising Lughansk and Donetsk regions – collectively called The Donbass and re-styled the Lughansk Peoples Republic and the Donetsk Peoples Republic. This volume details the Somali, Vostok and Sparta battalions, as used in the 1st and 2nd battles of Donetsk Airport in 2014/2015, with new rules such as (in)famous commanders, building fires, trench fighting, krasnopol guided rounds, welding projects (dump-truck technical), and ECM and drone strikes.
New equipment includes BTR-80s, T-64bvs and T-72bs, MT-LBs with 23mm ZPU guns, MSTAS-M 152mm artillery guns, Gaz Tigr MRAP vehicles, 2s7 Psion 203mm SPGs, and TOS-1 Buratino thermobaric rocket launchers, BM-21 Schmersh, 9k37 Buk SAM systems (good for downing civilian airliners); Pantsirs and Strela-11 anti-air systems. Used in conjunction with any Ukraine Armed Forces title to re-create the battles along the line-of-contact or to re-create the battle for the Donetsk Airport or any scenarios of ones devising from 2014 right up to the present and the current invasion.
