There were some great personalities there too, amongst the attendees. Many who could claim ancestors on the field, including some of the most distinguished in 1815. The whole event was superbly run and a great credit to NAM, Waterloo Uncovered, not to mention Cowan Senior and Junior.

Just noticed that distinguished grey haired chap with the cute little blonde at the very bottom of the image. My three sons and wife ganged up on me and said "you are not going anywhere in those old suits of yours". I have to admit, they were hanging off me. That dark blue does look better.

Hattie Ford of Waterloo Uncovered writes:

The exhibition Waterloo Remodelled gives a first look at a brand-new, highly accurate and expansive model of the Battle of Waterloo. The exhibition will be held in the NAM in London from the 20th-23rd of October. It will be available to view in the daytime all week, and we are also hosting two lectures on the model's construction, an exclusive tour of the model, and a drinks reception on the evenings of the 20th and 21st of October.
