Our Next Rulebook Is at the Printers & We're Slightly Ahead of Schedule Too!

The Greco-Persian & Peloponnesian Wars

The Greco-Persian and Peloponnesian Wars is the fourth book in our series of period specific mass combat rulebooks, and we're excited to say that it is with the printers now, and we should have physical stock within the next two weeks.

This book marks a slight change for us in the format of our rulebooks as we move forward into our next phase of releases. We've listened to our existing customers, and those that want to play our games, and it's become very clear to us that what players want is the same consistently well play tested rules and army lists, but more of them, and faster!

With this in mind, we've made changes to this latest release, that will become the new regular format for all of our future On Bloody Ground – Mass Combat releases.

What's Different?

Well, each of our previous books had around six or eight color internal pages, showing units and commanders from the various armies contained within the specific book. These pages, in our opinion (and those customers that expressed a preference!), really didn't think it added much to the books, and more importantly, massively slowed the whole process of development and production of new titles.

So, with this in mind, the internal color pages have gone! We still have the lovely full-color covers, the full core rules are still contained within each book, as well as period specific rules and army lists, and the page count has been reduced slightly. As an example, this latest release is 52 pages, instead of the previous normal 64.

What this small change does is allow us to produce more books, and also, happily in these difficult times, reduce the cover price!

All of our new releases in the series will now be priced at just £12.95 GBP and will have around 50 to 60 pages, depending on the period being covered.

Our schedule of releases has now jumped from just two new titles a year, to between ten and twelve!

Yes, that's right, we'll be releasing at least five times as many books, allowing far more players to join in and get started with the best historical mass combat wargame on the planet! (We're still working on the proof to back that up!).

To celebrate this, we've added a pre-order listing for the Greco-Persian and Peloponnesian Wars book to our website, with all pre-orders guaranteed to go out on the same day that we receive the new stock from our printers.

Our next two books are already near completion (more details on what these are will be released soon), and we have at least two more periods set firmly in the release schedule, but if there's a specific period you or your gaming buddies would like to see covered, why not let us know, and we'll see if we can get it sorted sooner, rather than later!

Thanks for Reading & Happy Gaming!
