Advanced Mecha Battle Simulator

A mecha-combat tactical wargame is here! This wargame is intended to represent fast paced anime-mecha-style combat as closely as possible to the realities of mecha-anime! Within this rules booklet is everything you need in order to quickly play through any kind of mecha-anime skirmishes. The rules are miniatures-agnostic.

This is the 8th revision of the 3rd edition rules for my mech combat simulator. It is fast to play, and generally easy to understand. The most complicated part is unit design, however that is a major feature of mecha combat. This rules booklet should be acceptable for the price, however, feel free to pay what you think it is worth, or try before you buy! Thank you!

This booklet includes:

  • Fully functional tactical mecha combat rules including:
    • Rules for ranged combat.
    • Rules for melee combat.
    • Rules that emphasize the dodgy nature of mech combat.
    • Rules that are intended to be quick and easy to learn and play!
  • Rules for designing your own mecha including:
    • Point-based rules for designing the mecha frame.
    • Point-based rules for designing a variety of weapons.
    • Rules for calculating costs and weight of the mecha.
  • Basic scenario design guidelines including:
    • Rules for a balanced skirmish mission style.
    • Terrain rules guidelines for space, air, and naval mecha combat.
    • An optional set of guidelines for running an RPG campaign with extra rules for ace/special pilots and guidelines for pilot growth.

These rules do not contain:

  • Sample mecha designs. (Expect a series of supplements soon)
  • Rules for operations-style campaign play. (Expect a supplement maybe)
  • Rules for repair and resupply.
  • Rules for remote weapons. (It is suggested to just run remotes as separate units.)
  • Warship design. (Supplement maybe)
  • Sample scenarios. (Probably will be released in supplements.)

This version eliminates the AI artwork in the cover image.
