Run-Through of Law of the Gun Wild West Game

Henry Martini writes:

I'm afraid the days of tossing money at any new rule set that comes along on spec, or just to fill shelf space, are long gone, Nick – for myself, and I imagine, most others. I need to know that a prospective rules purchase actually satisfies my personal gaming needs before opening my wallet.

To that end, and if it isn't too inconvenient, a few more questions have occurred to me:

6. It looks as though TLotG is a more narrowly focussed development of AGDtD, with the units of 1 – 12 figures of the latter scaled back to 1 – 4, and more characterisation in its depiction of individuals (skills etc.), but much that's familiar (gunmen being the equivalent of killers, I presume, and so on). In the example, the four 'bad guys' are said to be fighters. Presumably this means that, as per AGtD, all members of a unit must be of the same grade.

7. How many grades are there, and what are they?

8. Which grades can be assigned skills?

Chris Peers has recently released a new set of Wild West rules, The Law of the Gun.

The Law of the Gun

We asked him to write us a little run-through of how it plays. He's done that, and we've published it in our free online magazine.
