This is, IMO, one of the best fantasy/medieval miniatures rules systems. It has rules for adapting any type of troops, battle platforms, or monsters, to the game. You can use ANY miniatures you like… I won't re-type my review of it here. You can read it in the online review, at the sale point: Bruce L., is my review. If you prefer a hard copy, search the usual sources for used books: e-Bay, Amazon, etc. I've been playing it since around 1995. Still having a blast with it. Note that it is based on 2e AD&D rules, but it is its own game, separate from the RPG rules. It is playable, as written, with nothing else required. However, there are 2e BattleSystem spells listed in the 2e AD&D RPG rule book, Tome of Magic. This game covers every aspect of medieval/fantasy gaming, including siege rules, aerial cavalry, and even early gunpowder weapons. It is a bucket-O-dice game, rolling one Attack Die for each figure attacking. I like that, as I like collecting, and rolling, bunches of dice. Cheers! |
