The mainstays of the Kislev cavalry are the Winged Lancers, who can trace their lineage back to the original knights who rode from the east to their new home. The Winged Lancers are so named for the large feathered wings they wear on their backs, which emit a shrill screaming noise when they charge. This Glorious Charge of the Winged Lancers on the gallop is enough to cause Panic in most enemy units!
These classic models are now joined by a new command trio of champion, standard bearer, and musician, allowing you to create either 5 basic Winged Lancers or two plus the command models.
Kislev guards the borderlands of the north against the terrible servants of Chaos. Each year the northern border is harder to defend and each year the death toll is greater. But to the Kislevites this matters not. North is their home and if they cannot live there, they will die there. Kislevites are great warriors and magnificent horsemen who tirelessly patrol the northern border along the forbidding Troll Country, battling to keep the rampaging Chaos warbands at bay.
Kislev details the army of the north, staunch allies of the Empire and first line of defense against the dread forces from the Chaos Wastes. Kislevites also patrol neighboring Troll Country to protect the region from the hordes of Trolls that roam there in. Full rules for this new army will be in White Dwarf magazine, allowing players to add these forces to their games of Warhammer Fantasy Battle.
