Hi!
Almost forgot. HLBS is proud to release probably one of the most unusable, unsuitable, impractical models in 28mm ever. (Or 1:55th scale where I come from, argue amongst yourselves.)
The Russian Pernov-class torpedo boat launched in 1893. This resin, white-metal and brass model kit measures approximately 804mm, and is suitable for the collector and model maker... or the wargamer whose table's the size of a football pitch (or Olympic swimming pool). It contains all fittings, anchor chain, and rigging thread needed to complete the model, and comes fully prepared for construction straight from the box. Full instructions are provided, including step-by-step construction guide, plan views of numbered parts locations, rigging diagrams, history and paint guide, along with a CD showing multiple close-up shots of a built-up model to aid construction and photos of the real historical ones.
"миноносцев типа Пернов" Waterline model (1:55th) of the 42m-type torpedo boat. 25 units built. Served in all fleets: Baltic, Pacific, Black Sea and Mediterranean Squadron. Served in Port Arthur during the Boxer Rebellion and Russo-Japanese War, during World War One, and on both sides during the Russian Civil War. Model length 804mm approximately overall. Hull length 764mm approximately.
Master model constructed from the prototype plans of the original Pernov, designed by Le Norman, Le Havre, France. Photo set available on request.
Price £160.00 GBP (ouch!). Please allow five working days for dispatch, as they take an age to prepare.
P.S. Caution: contains more than three parts.
P.P.S. I put mine together over three evenings, and I didn't have any instructions!
