Expansion 1 includes two new rules for the game.
First are the Formation Maneuvering rules. These rules let you use a single counter or miniature to represent multiple ships and provide guidance for joining into formation and leaving a formation.
The second new rule adds Scouting Sensors. You should think of these as large, more sophisticated sensors than the standard sensors carried by most warships. In combat, they act as force multipliers by supporting your fleet's use of targeting and jamming. They are highly valuable units that make a fleet more effective in combat.
This expansion adds six new ship variants each for the UFS and Vallari fleets. We have an updated master ship chart to include all ships currently in publication (this includes the original game set and ships from Expansion 1). We have also improved and adjusted our point-value system, so the original ships are included on the ship list.
