Napoleon's Battles is a "grand-tactical" wargame which covers the period of the revolutionary and Napoleonic wars, from 1792 to 1815. In these rules, players assume the role of army or Corps commanders.
With NB, you have the full flexibility that many other games fail to provide so that you can play tournament battles with a standard championship army that can be played in two hours, or recreate bigger historical Battles like Waterloo, Austerlitz, Talavera, Marengo to enjoy such large scale engagements involving multiple players in each side. The real Napoleonic wargame!
Not surprisingly, this game was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design.
I am excited that the sale of Napoleon's Battles will guarantee the future publication and support of the rules. This means that, unlike most miniatures rules which disappear for lack of support when the designer dies or grows weary, Napoleon's Battles will not pass into history with me. Rather other Napoleonic rules at different command levels, will be integrated to allow gamers to play at different levels for many years to come. Finally, good gaming to all, whatever rules you play.
– Bob Coggins (original designer of the game)
