A set of 3Dmodel files depicting the Union river monitors, U.S.S. Neosho and Osage.
They were shallow-draft, single-turret ironclads built in 1862-63 to secure the Mississippi and its tributaries. Both patrolled against Confederate raiders and took part in the 1864 Red River Campaign, with Osage helping capture Fort DeRussy and fighting at Blair's Landing. Neosho later supported Union operations on the Cumberland River and at Nashville, while Osage was transferred to the Mobile campaign, where she struck a mine and sank in March 1865.
