Aesthetically I prefer to chamfer mine, but it's not compulsory. ;-) It's always been my intention to disguise the edge of my bases. A chamferred edge is less than 1mm think. On my most recent minis I've gone further, flocking the edges of the base to help disguise them further.

The above minis are based on the same base style as the circular ones- I hope to get them in the shop next week.

New circular BatBases

I have designed some new circular bases to serve as command bases for To the Strongest!, For King and Parliament, or other systems. The bases can be chamfered with a craft knife and the naturalistic appearance of the wobbly edges helps them to merge into the playing surface. They are cut from 2mm MDF; 3mm diameter magnets (sold separately) can be fitted into the holes to secure them in storage or transport.

This pack includes 15 circular bases: two with outside diameter 85mm; three 70mm; four 50mm and six 25mm. The new bases can be found here.

All the Batbases (including several designs which are currently on sale) can be found here.
