Fungoids vs Imperialists Starter Set

One Roll Battles is a large scale wargame system, so named because each weapon attack is handled by a single roll of a ten-sided dice.

The game is played on a hexgrid, allowing use of the cardboard cutouts provided or any small-scale miniatures of which you can fit three standard units in one hex.

It is designed in a two-player format, but plays well in a solo "against yourself" way.

The game design is focused on being able to represent a huge variety of units accurately, yet having them act quickly and in a back-and-forth way. Great effort has also been made to keep the core rules to just two pages, making it quick to pick-up and learn. Optional rules can then be added in to later games at the players discretion.

The content of this Imperialists-versus-Fungoids-themed intro pack are:

  • 2 pages of core rules
  • 1 A4-sized hexgrid that can be repeated and connected to make a hexmap of any size.
  • 1 page of beginner scenario
  • 1 page of tokens, etc.
  • 5 pages of unit type data cards and unit tokes for the Friut Emergency Defence Force faction. (only the first two pages are needed for the beginner scenario)
  • 6 pages of background fiction to the ORB galaxy, the Orbital Relativity Barrier Macguffins and the Fruiut, Faceless and Fungoid factions
  • 8 pages of optional rules and common special rules.
  • 4 pages of unit type data cards and unit tokes for the Faceless Imperialists faction.
  • 4 pages of unit type data cards and unit tokes for the Fungoid faction.
  • 2 pages of generic "pick your own forces" scenario
  • 2 pages of more advanced narrative scenario.

All are provided in separate documents, as you'll only need the first five to start, and some (such as rules) you'll want to print on paper, some (such as tokens) you'll want to print on card, and some (such as background) you'll probably just want to read the PDF.
