STL (3D Model) – $4.00 USD

Amiral Charner

This is an STL file of the French ship Amiral Charner. The file is for printing on your 3Dprinter.

Amiral Charner and her three sisters were versatile armored cruisers who served their masters well despite a design flaw here and there.

The Charners were rather under-gunned for armored cruisers, weighing in with a 6" main battery, but at 19 knots they were well suited for their designed role of, you guessed it, commerce raiding (obsess much, Marine Nationale?). Though their armored belt was junior-sized, it still would have been a most unpleasant surprise to most ships who would have had the speed to catch any of them.

Examples of the type served in WWI, with Charner herself being lost to a German torpedo from U-21 in 1916.

Can be Amiral Charner, Bruix, Chanzy, and Latouche-Treville.

The default scale of the model is 1:2400.

Download also includes a selection of masts that can also be used on other models of your choice.
