Berber Scout

The Berbers in both Morocco and Algeria were renowned horsemen, and Askari Miniatures is proud to add mounted figures to our line of Berbers.

From the French invasion of Algeria in 1836 to the final pacification of Morocco a century later, these horsemen both fought the invaders and served under them as scouts, gendarmes and spahis.

There are figures with muskets and with swords:

For dismounted troops to match, use any of our Berber figures, such as B-1. For dismounted command, use B-4.

Our full range of North Africans can be found at the webstore. There are 22 sets in all.

Askari Miniatures are 28mm. Prices vary by pack – see the Askari webstore for details.
