Moon Cresta

A game that simulates military combat on the Lunar surface. It uses the basic rules of our Iron Cross wargame system. Players represent the forces of the U.S. and the Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War and with the space race taking place.

In this alternative world game, there are bases on the Moon, American and Russian, and combat between these forces occurs almost daily. There, without the problems of international politics and far from the eyes of humanity, these countries confront each other in a hostile, zero-gravity environment where even nuclear weapons are allowed. Come and discover the terrible dangers of the lunar surface!

The idea was to take advantage of my Iron Cross rules system, and make a retro sci-fi version of a possible conflict between Russians and Americans on the Moon. As crazy as the project seemed, I remembered a great classic from Metagaming, Olympica, which I have in my collection and which I found very fun.

The result is a combination of a tribute to one of the classic Microgames of the 80s, coupled with an absurd concept of the Cold War.
