CSS Muscogee

A 3Dmodel file representing the Confederate ironclad CSS Muscogee. Construction began in late 1862 at the Columbus Navy Yard in Columbus, Georgia. Originally designed as a sternwheel-powered ironclad, the ship proved too heavy to launch on its first attempt in January 1864.

This model represents the ship as originally designed (LFG's LFG3D112 CSS Jackson represents the redesigned ship). Two versions are enclosed, one with her paddle wheel exposed, the second with a shield added to protect the wheel as would have been likely after a few months in action.

The model is scaled to 1:600, and prints well at 1:1200 on a resin printer.
