White Death – Iron Cross Scenario

New Game Scenario for Iron Cross Wargame! (Compatible With Both Editions!)

Near Kemijärvi Finland, February 17, 1940: As of February 11, the Soviets had approximately 460,000 troops, 3,350 artillery pieces, 3,000 tanks, and 1,300 aircraft deployed to the Karelian Isthmus in Finland.

The Red Army was receiving new reinforcements after an advance into enemy territory. The Finns had eight divisions, totaling around 150,000 troops. One by one, the defenders' strongholds collapsed under Soviet attacks and the Finns were forced to retreat.

Finnish resistance was huge, and one man managed to put terror in the enemy, due to his sniper ambush tactics. His name was Simo Häyhä, and his nickname White Death.
