Ah, my mistake then. I didn't realize that Guerilla Checkers was a game.

Yaah! Dead Winter

The downloadable PDF version of Yaah! Magazine #2 is now available. The print version of issue #2 is at the printers and will ship in May, but why wait? The print-and-play PDF, with three free games, is available now. Included in this full-color print magazine are two complete games by Brian Train (with die-cut counters, full-color maps), in addition to his Guerrilla Checkers game and articles on Dead of Winter, Red Winter, Unconditional Surrender, Imperial Stars II, World in Flames, and Dragon Dice. Scenarios on Fireteam (by Mark Walker), Heroes of Normandie, Hastings, Rivet Wars, and more, including articles by Peter Perla, Brad Smith, and Ania B. Ziolkowska.

Brian's included map and counter games are Uprising and Army of Shadows, two-player contests that pit an oppressive state against a desperate but growing rebellion. Each game provides a distinctive, replayable and non-random take on this common theme that mirrors and complements the other – a dazzling diptych of doubt and insurgency.

Yaah! #2 is shipping in May, but you can download the PDF right now.
