We are very pleased to release the Cult of Andromeda, an all-new 15mm sci-fi range representing a galactic doomsday cult, as well as the alien Brunt mercenaries who bulk out its numbers.

The cult itself is led by the mysterious psyker Andromeda, who rides on a demon skimmer, commanding her forces and employing vastly destructive psionic and other psychic abilities:

First one

Andromeda has collected a regular army of hooded and robed cultists around her, many of these wicked aliens. All of the cultists are available armed with blasters or with power axes, and have separate heads which are very easily and sturdily attached.

The cultists include the mysterious Naga:

Second one

Third one

…the cunning and wicked Vilg:

Fourth one

…those extradimensional horrors, the Thuloids:

Fifth one

…and, of course, Human Renegades wearing gas masks:

Sixth one

Available also is a separate cultist body with a plasma gun, sold individually – he doesn't come with a head, but the packs of cultists come with more heads than one needs for the figures, so you can simply pop the noggin of your choice on him and he's ready to kill tanks:

Seventh one

For mobile fire-support, some cultists soar above the field on Demon Skimmers, crewing powerful deck guns:

Eighth one

These cultists number in their thousands, but what really bulks out the Cult of Andromeda are huge herds of massive alien Brunt Mercenaries, short-tempered and warlike creatures that love to charge straight at the enemy and chop him to bits:

Ninth one

As can be seen here, the Brunts are massive warriors (and so they have potential to be used in 20mm gaming as well):

Tenth one

Commanding the Brunts (or attempting to) are herd leaders, who try to get their rudimentary orders across over the deafening fray of a herd stampede using a bullhorn. Attempting to provide fire support are Brunt veterans, who can control their charging instinct long enough to fire off heavy infantry weapons. Finally in the ranks of Brunt forces serving the Cult is a Brunt selected by Andromeda to be her champion, the utterly insane Brunt Chosen, turned white as a ghost by the terrifying secrets of the universe disclosed by Andromeda to its tiny mind! Wielding a double-bladed power sword, the Chosen inevitably dies in battle, only to be replaced by another – and with almost two million Brunt serving the Cult, there's plenty more where he came from!

Eleventh one

Several of the packs of cultists are not illustrated, but you can get a sense of what they look like because the heads and bodies are shown in other photos (for instance, the Vilg blaster pack has the same bodies as the Naga blaster pack, and the same heads as the Vilg power axe pack). This was to prevent overburdening Spacejacker, who did the painting of the Cultists in robes gratis! And a lovely job he did, too.

The one true mystery pack is Andromeda's Sparks – flaming salamander plasma entities. For one reason or another, they never got painted, but we'll try to get that sorted soon. In the meantime, more adventuresome gamers may want to pick up a pack to see what they look like!

All available now, at the link below. By the way, the extra-dimensional horrors that Andromeda seeks to unleash on settled worlds are perfectly represented using the monsters from our popular Little Carinthia range. There's a lot more information about the Cult of Andromeda on the webstore.
