It is Warm Work Age of Sail Naval Rules 2nd Edition

MSRP: $10.00 USD
Deal price: $5.00 USD (50% off)

Naval warfare in the Age of Sail. The rules are written to cover the period 1740 to 1815, but can easily be used to fight actions before and after those dates. The new edition includes rule enhancements, improved graphics, and a starter scenario. The intent here is to play multi-ship and full-fleet actions. The rules take a much broader approach to combat and the allocation of damage then most rules for the period. The focus is on moving ships, firing cannon, and conducting boarding actions. A vessel's damage is taken as shipwide rather then on individual guns, masts or crew. My weight of broadside versus your weight of broadside. Remember, the focus here is on multi-ship and fleet actions, commanders are more interested in if a ship is still in the fight, rather then its specific damage and casualties. Players spend more time playing than on record-keeping. Game play is quick and easy, allowing large fleet actions to be fought to a conclusion in a single gaming session. The rules use the D6 to handle all actions. The action is fast and furious. Ship movement, cannon fire, fouling, grappling, and boarding actions are all covered. Additional and optional rules cover shore batteries, fortresses, fire ships, crew quality, and more. Also included are adjustments for fighting one-on-one duels. Casual players will love the ease of play, and naval buffs can appreciate the laid-back style that allows them to take command of a whole fleet and wage battle in a single evening. The rules are just fun to play. Grab a copy of It is Warm Work and put to sea. Check out the ItisWarmWork Yahoo! Group.
