Wargame Vault announces the availability of:

Table Air Combat: U-2 Kukuruznik
Price: $1.99 USD

Publisher: Paper Forge

Table Air Combat is a fast, simple air combat game that can be played on any flat surface. Each ruleset is a self-contained game including cut-out miniatures of one aircraft and a set of rules. All you need are some six-sided dice and some coins to provide weight for the aircraft counters. Everything else can be printed from this ruleset. Download a free set of the complete rules here: Flight Operations Manual.

Table Air Combat: U-2 Kukuruznik

Each player has a flight of four fighters, represented by two counters. Aircraft counters move by means of curved performance rulers that represent the aircraft's historical cornering ability and maximum speed.

TAC is designed for portability; The entire game can fit in a plastic bag. Even the largest battles can take place on a fast-food restaurant table.

Each aircraft is sold separately. Only pay for the ones you want, and print out as many copies as you need to create your own epic WWII air battle.

The U-2 Kukuruznik (Corn-Cutter) was a small utility biplane used as a trainer, scout, ambulance, and transport. It was also used as a light attack aircraft out of desperation.

This set is a self-contained rulebook that includes miniatures for the U-2 and contains five scenarios that reference other aircraft:

Recon:
Search for German ground forces before an enemy scout finds friendly Soviet ground forces. A standard deck of cards is required for this randomly-generated scenario. A second U-2 serves for a Fi-156 Storch.
Cat and Mouse:
Evade Bf-109E fighters to deliver supplies to partizans behind enemy lines.
Siege of Odessa:
U-2 bombers defends the city with a daylight attack on a Romanian artillery battery. The battery is defended by Bf-109F fighters and light anti-aircraft guns.
Nachtexen:
The all-female Night Bomber Regiment 588 dodges Bf-110 night-fighters to perform nuisance raids.
Kursk:
A U-2 observation plane directs artillery on advancing forces. Yak-7 escorts defend the U-2 from Luftwaffe Bf-109G fighters. A deck of cards creates random ground units.

This set contains only the U-2. Other aircraft-referenced in the scenarios are sold separately. Two scenarios require a deck of playing cards to create random ground units.
