Good Lord! Who really wants to play with the French, anyway? I mean, there's so many great English armies available for that period./sarc

Joan of Arc or Jeanne d'Arc, nicknamed "The Maid of Orléans." Born in 1412, was the daughter of a tenant farmer, Jacques d'Arc, from the village of Domrémy, in northeastern France.

She rose to fame during the 100 Years War, leading French armies against the English.

Eventually captured by the Burgundians and handed over to the English, she was convicted of heresy and witchcraft, and burned at the stake in May 1431 at the age of 19.
