Lovely buildings!

As JT said, dual carraigeways in 15mm would be great, yes please! That way one side can be used as a lane and the other as parallel parking.

Now, as for buildings… the term "modern" is often misused. I do Architecture for a living, and I can tell you what a "layman" calls Modern isn't what an Architect calls Modern. Here we're talking a design movement vs. what is currently being built.

What I would really like to see would be some kits that are similar to the KATO buildings JT shows in his pix (love them, but they are a touch out of scale, which is a real shame!). It would be simple to make the lazer-cut-wood buildings multimedia by adding in some lazer-cut clear acrylic that can be glued behind the wood for windows and what not, which would be smashing for creating current style glass-dominant office buildings. (though I think you'd have to go with thinner wood and thin cut sashes to get the mullion effect. Might prove fragile, but would look great!)

I would say that 6-8 stories is a good height for 15mm gaming, with a few rare buildings being taller. Once you get higher than 6-8 stories it can be difficult to move models around the buildings, which is the last thing you want.

This week, Sally 4th launches their range of 10mm scale city buildings designed to be compatible with Dropzone Commander, MechWarrior, and other 10mm sci-fi wargames systems.

10mm sci-fi terrain

The initial range consists of seven buildings, which are available in six different colors (Granite, Slate, Sandstone, Limestone, Olive Green, and White) for 42 different variations of building. The building style is Art Deco, based on real-world prototypes, and the heights of the buildings range from two to eight stories.

The road system also comes pre-painted with dark-grey road and light-grey pavement. Road sections are 150mm square, and firmly hold together using Sally 4th's Jigsaw road-alignment design (using jigsaw tabs hidden underneath the pavement sections). This prevents terrain being knocked out of alignment during play. All of the roads are dual carriageways, with 110mm width of road with 20mm of pavement on either side. Roads come in packs of either four straights, T-Junctions or crossroads.

If there is sufficient demand, we will produce a wider range of styles and sizes of buildings, and design ruined variants of all of the buildings. It is also possible, if we receive enough requests, that this range could be made available for 15mm gaming as well.

All models are pre-painted 2mm MDF kits, requiring simple assembly using PVA wood glue.

Building prices start at £17.00 GBP
Road packs are £13.75 GBP for four straights/£14.50 GBP for four crossroads or junctions.
