How is this for multiplayer games (like 3 or 4 on a side)? I had heard that regular Impetus didn't handle multi-player games that well

Not sure why someone would think this is the case for Impetvs. Commands move independently, and they all move every turn. The other side might get initiative on you but that doesn't change whether its single players or multi.

Baroque Rulebook Now Available!

Baroque is a set of wargames rules written by Lorenzo Sartori, and based on the Impetus system. The rules allow you to play with miniatures the wars that ravaged Europe from the mid XVI Century to the end of the XVII Century.

Baroque cover

The book includes game rules for field battles (with examples and diagrams), and seven army lists to start play immediately:

  • German Catholic (1618-32)
  • Swedish (1630-34)
  • English Royalist (1642-43)
  • English Parlamentarian (1642-44)
  • Ottoman Turk (1645-1700)
  • Later Imperial (1648-1700)
  • Later Polish (1632-1700)
