Your gang of mean varmints ride into town looking for the local bank. Your job is to scope out the place for your next robbery. The ride has been a long one; it took three weeks to lose that posse in the Montana territory. It will be really nice to spend the night at the local hotel and have a hot bath and a game of cards at the casino.
But the local sheriff watches the dusty and dirty cowpokes from his chair at the jail - wonder what you might be up to in these here parts? When it dawns on him that your face is familiar from the last wanted posters that came in from the territorial marshal’s office. The sheriff turns to his deputies and nods toward the gang that just rode in to town and walks over and grabs the shotgun off the wall.
That is when all hell breaks loose in the town…
Gunslingers & Desperados has been designed for the wild old west of the later part of the century in mind, from the years 1850 through the year of 1900. The main strategy of the rules set is to give a feel for the individual stand-off between two antagonists and their sidekicks blasting away each other from across the street.
I still have that feeling that the cavalry is just over the hill waiting for the call to come to the rescue, and chase down those lawless villains.
This is a miniature game designed for 25mm scale figures, with no more than ten to fifteen figures per side. Large sized games, which can be played in 2-4 hours time.
Hidden movement, spotting attempts, ammunition, gunfights, and dueling combat keep the players active during the game. Leadership, experience levels, military support, and artillery, play an important part in the games final outcome.
A Character Generator is provided for the ease in making up of those crazy individuals that dotted the old west that will do battle in your games. The characters can have a large range of abilities and weapons that make the game a lot of fun.
