Litko: Magnet or Flex Steel Base Bottoms for Your Figures?

Back to Hobby News

Kent Reuber Supporting Member of TMP writes:

I use magnets on the bases and flex steel in the trays. I started with magnetic bases inside of metal tool boxes. The trays are from Dave's Baggage Train (http://www.davesbaggagetrain.com).

For trees, I do the opposite: metal washers for both width and weight and magnetic sheets.

Should You Be Magnetizing Your Bases?

A simple solution to keep your figures and their paintjobs safe.

Base & Base Bottoms

Many miniature gamers magnetize their figure bases and store them in metal, plastic and cardboard trays. If you don't do it, should you?

  • What kind of magnet should you use? Sheet magnet? Rare earth?
  • Should I use magnets on the base bottoms and magnets in the carry trays so it's really strong?

We have answers to these questions and more in our new customer support portal.
