I've just added another eight codes to the British Intervention Force in North America 1860s. This batch are all in campaign dress, the first five of which can be used in other theaters of war at this time. All are in the plain frock coat which replaced the shell jacket on campaign. This was either all-red or was faced in the regimental colors on the cuffs and collars. The first five codes could be used for the New Zealand Land Wars of the 1860s (where the frock coats would be blue) and the Ambela campaign 1863-64 (North West Frontier). The red woolen night caps and straw hats are both mentioned being used during the Red River Campaign 1870 in Canada, although straw hats had been the official/unofficial headgear worn by the British Army in Africa for decades before. These could all be used as Canadians as well, and British.
I'm now working on the cavalry and artillery. There will be more infantry, including Highlanders, to come. This is just the first batch of figures this month, we have quite few more Napoleonics lined up… more of that later.
