These are the 'three-ups' for the first two frames of the plastic AWI Continentals. The main frame will contain five infantry in tailed coats and the other frame, two infantry in hunting shirts. As you can see with the arms, you have the choice of formal marching poses and informal. All figures will have fully cocked hats, peaked caps, and round hats.
The 'hunting shirt' frame, in addition to the two other poses, will also contain rifle arms and separate powder horns. This frame will also be sold separately (direct from us), so you could build units entirely in hunting shirts if you want.
There will be a mix of tumplines and knapsacks. As you may be able to see, the small clothes and legwear vary slightly to show the supply problems in the army. The footwear also varies in that one wears 'startups' whilst another just shoes without gaiters; others have gaiters.
This box and the British box are designed to have interchangeable parts – i.e., the arms and headgear from both boxes fit all figures. You would need to paint lace on the 'American arms' for the Brits, and take the lace off 'British arms' when using them for Americans, but that's a very simple job.
There will also be enough right and left arms, without weapons, in the box to make up artillery crews, prisoners, hired help for the artillery, or just figures milling around a camp.
The main frame has just gone into tooling, the 'hunting shirt' frame will be going in very soon, and I've just started the four-man command frame so these will be a while yet.
