The most obvious starting point being Osprey; at least to get a visual impression of what I'm potentially painting. With it being said and with AD69 in mind, I assume that the following two Ospreys would be the most efficient way to become acquainted with the Roman army of that period: Roman Legionary AD 69–161 Assuming that these book overlap, do they give a detailed description of what the Legionary would have looked like on AD69? Are there any other book illustrated recommendations anyone would care to make (that aren't too expensive)? Just Add Water Blog: |
