Strike Legion: Planetary Operations promotes players to command regiments, divisions and entire corps of troops in the fight for control of large operational ground sectors, complete continents, or an entire planet through the efficient employment of combined-arms tactics and grand strategies. Challenge the enemy to single battles lasting from one to three hours, or fight multiple engagements to decide the fate of a world in one of three different campaign games.
The game is presented in a Programmed Instruction format, allowing players to begin their first game after reading only a few pages of rules. Advanced and optional rules allow for fielding a vast array of troop, vehicle and armament types, including orbital fire support, biochemical and nuclear weapons. Players may choose to field one of the six pre-generated forces in the book, one of several free army list downloads from the Legionnaire Games website, or create their own unique forces with which to conquer the galaxy using the included unit construction rules.
This Revised Edition of Planetary Operations includes a redesigned page layout, improved graphics, numerous clarifications, new unit types, and extensive missile and air combat rules revisions.
