It's a problem with all 6mm. The flag staffs regularly break as well, luckily I've got a few metres if really fine brass wire that I use for replacements.

There is always a little satisfaction in completing a project, so I am really pleased to be able the final releases in the remodeled Napoleonic Austrian range. These come in the form of Landwehr...

...and Grenzer.

Grenzer, formed

These come in both formed and skirmishing variants, and you can find more details here.

This marks a major milestone in our planned overhaul of the Napoleonic ranges – a process which started in 2010, and which is due to continue into 2014. Each range that has been given 'the treatment' has not only seen improvements in quality and design, but also has been expanded greatly to include a huge number of 'extras' and variants. On average, the number of codes available in the resculpted ranges have expanded by 250% over the original! We've also taken the opportunity to give greater coverage to artillery equipment, and supply all the models as our extremely high quality, one-piece castings.

All of which is by way of preamble to stating that we are now at the start of the greatest challenge yet in this process, as the first of the remastered French will shortly be heading your way. The plans for this range are nearly complete, and I can assure all of you who have been waiting that you won't be disappointed. If all goes as planned, the 19 codes currently available will be expanded to well over 40, as we aim to cover the range of troops and uniform styles available.

Our aim is to have the initial infantry releases available at Sheffield Triples on the weekend of 18th/19th May. We shall have to see how well our plans shape up when faced with Reality…

And now is as good a time as ever to remind you all to get orders for collection at Triples to us as soon as you can. You know it makes sense!
