Between 1950 and 1953, the Chinese formed around 20 Public Security Divisions, equipped with obsolete weapons, and used for internal security, border defense, LoC guards. A few units were deployed to North Korea to defend AA sites. Some saw combat within China against anti-communist rebellions and bandits. This list details some of the varied organizations found.
