STL (3D Model) – Sale Price $2.25 USD
This is an STL file for your 3Dprinter of the German WWI aircraft AGO C.I.
The AGO C.I was an anomaly among German designs, as she was a twin-boomed pusher aircraft that had a more than passing resemblance to a baby carriage with wings.
Despite her looks, the AGO was a capable aircraft and at 90mph, rather fast for her time. She was easy to fly and provided the forward-sitting observer with a stable platform for both gunnery and observation. However, like all pusher aircraft, the engine was prone to breaking free in a crash landing and killing the pilot and observer in rather grisly fashion. Nonetheless, she was popular with her crews, and her unimpeded field of fire made her a deadly opponent in the skies of 1915.
The model is scaled at 1:100th, but may be printed successfully at smaller or even larger scales (though with a corresponding loss of detail) depending on the quality of the printer and type of material. To print at 1:144th, rescale the model down to 69.44%.
The download also contains a 1:285 scale version.
The model has been printed in both resin and PLA successfully.
For PLA printing, supports are of the essence, and it is highly recommended to use supports on the build plate only.
