Following the success of our first set of rules, To Ur is Human, we are pleased to announce that our next publication is finished and has gone to the printers for proofing.
Once more not content with following the wargaming mainstream, It's Getting a Bit Chile will cover the land campaigns for the 1879-84 war between Chile, Peru and Bolivia. The war, started over the taxation of the rights to mine guano, ended up in the loss of Bolivia's seacoast and the occupation of Peru by Chile. A war that changed the face of South America, it would be over a hundred years before the peace treaty was fully implemented. The campaigns were fought across a wide range of terrain types, from desert to coastal plain, with armies that are both colorful and manageable in size compared to their European contemporaries, making it an ideal wargaming period.
Using innovative and original rules mechanisms, this book will enable you to re-fight the Franco-Prussian War of Latin America on your tabletop. The rules also contain a brief history and chronology of the war, as well as a sample OOB, a bibliography, information on the availability of figures, and also a painting guide.
The rulebook contains color illustrations, numerous examples of play, and clear diagrams. It is 80+ pages, and is expected to retail for £14.99 GBP, with a publication date in early-to-mid January. Worldwide distribution will be through Amazon, but the publisher welcomes enquiries from wargame publications retailers and figure manufacturers who might be interested in stocking the rules.
