Orbital Space Station "Tenk 34" had once been a thriving, bustling and opportunistic "outer-state", governed by the mighty Terran Federation on the planet of Mars. When civil war had broken out in Tenk 34, those who pledged allegiance to Mars fled the station to neighboring stations, leaving Tenk 34 behind to be closed off and abandoned as a "failed project".

Tenk 34 now sits alone amongst the stars, rife with gang war, violence, and bloodshed. Resources and territory remain the most important asset sought by the gangs that roam the station, forging a path of death and destruction in their wake.

Hives is a tabletop skirmish game of rival gangs, presented on a single page. Planned as a zine, each release will also be done on a single page, allowing you to compile a book of sorts, as you continue to collect individual issues of Hives. Played on battlefields of between 2' x 2' to 4' x 4' in size, the game is easy to play, tactical in nature, and allows players to fully customize it to how they like. Hives, in essence, is totally "hackable."

Originally planned as an ongoing micro-zine, Hives is available in a full and complete experience, including the following:

  • Full backstory, lore and setting information, including infamous gangs, battles and more.
  • Core rules.
  • New weapons.
  • Special Abilities and Cybernetics.
  • Rules for three types of grenades and how they're handled.
  • Rules for non-player Security Systems and Turrets.
  • Rules for hacking. You can hack Security Systems, Turrets or even enemy Cybernetics.
  • Rules for the setting's current "Catastrophic Resurgence" event, including rules for zombies and the event's full backstory.
  • Playing as the leaders of Tenk 34's infamous gangs and leading them into battle.
  • Campaign system rules.
  • Scenarios.
  • Two methods for solo play, one being standard, the other using a method of enemies only being randomly generated when seen/encountered.

Included in this book are printable unit cards and tokens.
