This is an STL file of the Italian navy ship Duilio. The file is for printing on your 3Dprinter.
The Duilio class of ironclad turret ships were two very formidable vessels armed with massive 17.7" guns, causing much envy amongst the navies of other nations.
They were armored in an all-or-nothing scheme, where the vitals were protected by the belt but the ends were left to fend for themselves, although they were equipped with cork to soak up gushing torrents of water that might enter through battle damage.
Whether this would have been successful enough to keep the ships afloat will never be known, as an inconvenient era of peace swept over Italy at the time and thus the Duilios never saw action.
Can be Duilio and Enrico Dandolo.
The model prints up well at various scales, from 1:2400 to 1:1200, and looks great at any scale. The model was designed exclusively for 4P Press Models by the very talented Chris Ferree.
The default scale of the model is 1:2400. Use the scale function in your slicer to print in the size you like.
