Sects of the Threshold
The battlefield has a new threat. It doesn't wear a uniform.

Sects of the Threshold expands the Deadwake universe with four esoteric factions whose methods go far beyond firepower. Born from the psychological wreckage of the Feedback Cascade, the Threshold Sects fight their wars in the landscape of the mind, and they are coming to your tabletop.

Four Factions. Four Philosophies. Four Ways to Break Your Opponents.

The Architects of the Cogito field Proxy Clone operatives and Egregore constructs, turning enemy combatants into assets mid-battle. The Quietists deploy Resonance Sink structures that project suppression fields, forcing Influence checks on any unit that dares enter their zones of stillness. The Memory Keepers can strip a squad leader's abilities in a single action by downloading their cognitive core. And Janus, a fragment of pre-Cascade artificial intelligence, bends the battlefield itself, corrupting orders, jamming weapons, and placing ghost terrain that vanishes at will.

What's Inside:

  • Full lore profiles for all four Threshold Sects, including their origins, doctrines, internal hierarchies, and conflicts with the major factions of the Deadwake setting
  • Asymmetric miniatures objectives for each sect, designed for skirmish and campaign play
  • The Janus Node Interference Table for randomized, reality-warping battlefield effects
  • Sect Conflict Zones, rules for what happens when two sect influences overlap on the board
  • Optional rules modules including Psychic Dissonance, Conviction Checks, Egregore Summoning Risks, Quietist Resonance Scoring, and Janus Reality Drift
  • Secrecy Clocks and Hidden Identity Loadouts for campaigns featuring secret allegiances and double agents
  • Full RPG integration with Origins, Traits, Faction Pathways, and Advancement options for players who want to affiliate their characters with a sect
  • Facilitator tools including Threshold Conflict templates, Psychological Warfare encounter frameworks, and cross-faction intrigue tables

Compatible with the Deadwake miniatures combat rules and roleplaying game. Content is fully modular; use what fits your table and leave the rest.

The Threshold Sects don't want your territory. They want your mind. Defend accordingly.

This sourcebook is a supplement and requires additional products to play. For RPG play, the Deadwake Core Rulebook is required. For miniatures play, the Deadwake Miniatures Rules are required. Content compatible with both formats is clearly marked throughout.
