This is the first of this month's batch, and includes additions to the European Armies 1450-1500 range, plus the First Carlist War range.
I've included Stradiots for the Italian (specifically Venetian) armies, but will add a couple more packs with bows and crossbows later. The circular and oval shields are particular to Italian armies of the period, and were used by light infantry, heavy pole-armed infantry, and even heavy cavalry.
There is a great source for shield designs here. The artifacts on this page were taken as booty from a Milanese army by the Swiss after their defeat at the Battle of Giornico in 1478.
There are also the Valencians for Carlist forces, wearing the traditional white Zaraguell 'kilt'. Seven battalions were raised during the war - although probably only three had troops wearing this uniform, the other battalions wearing blue greatcoats and berets.
There will be more releases coming soon.
