This weekend's play tests went very well. Friday we tried it with guys who haven't been involved with the secret play tests for months. They picked up on it quickly. One guy was supposed to leave early to get some sleep before a marathon the next day, but he stayed until the end, because he was having so much fun. This is a "big battle" game in which Munchkins, Gilkens, Winkies, and Quadlings field regiments, consisting of 20 figures mounted four to a base and a mounted officer. There are a bunch of allies that can be added to forces. Players control divisions, made up of five or six regiments or batteries. Everything needed to play the game fits on a 5" x 7" card (~ half a letter or A4 piece of paper). I'll begin to post some videos soon. These will show some of the rules mechanics but will include ersatz figures as the real ones are still in the production pipeline. Buck Surdu |
