Martian Empires

Wargames Rules for the Wars Between Mars & Earth

In 1880, terrifying squid-like aliens land on Earth at Horsell Common, just outside Woking in Surrey. Their awesome heat rays and terrifying tripod war-machines scatter the ill-prepared English forces. But the calculating Martians reckon without the ingenuity and determination of Her Majesty's Empire, and after a hard fight are destroyed.

After unlocking the secrets of the Martian spacecraft, Britain launches its own invasion force, taking the might of the Empire to Mars. Instead of a planet dominated by the squid-like Cephalods, the British discover three new races, sophisticated empires, and a planet in an almost perpetual state of civil war.

Martian Empires lets you recreate the exciting battles of this history, from the invasion of Earth to the scramble for Mars as other mighty European nations join the fray.

Contains:

  • Introduction to wargaming
  • A brief history of the war with Mars
  • Rules
  • Army Lists for the Martian Invaders of Earth, British Home Forces, the British Expeditionary Forces to Mars, Imperial and Giant Tribal Martians, the German and French Expeditionary Forces to Mars
  • Five scenarios with full-color maps
