We are pleased to announce the release of a whole new series of Building tiles, D-Day defenses, and landing craft for our WWII 3mm Western Front range, which is now WWII 3mm Western Front and D-Day. The buildings, defenses and ships in this roll-out featured in our 6mm Race to Caen D-Day grand-tactical game featuring Sword, Juno and Gold Beaches, first shown at Joy of Six last year. It's been a long time in the waiting, and finding time to master and mold the defenses and buildings onto tiles of their own turned out to be longer than planned, but at long last we are there.
This range is suitable for 3mm games set in the 20th Century, with many pieces also being suitable for much of the 19th Century, in a skirmish scale or larger. As mentioned above, they are also usable for larger scaled games, especially grand-tactical games in 6mm during the same period. Not to everyone's taste, many are now using smaller scale buildings compared to the figures in their grand-tactical games, and it can work extremely well, allowing urban areas of many buildings arranged in streets, opposed to just a few buildings representing a town/village.
