For those of you who don't subscribe to our newsletter, we'd like to let you know about a new contest we're running that's open to all. As we're always trying to get more feedback from our readers regarding Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy, we thought a contest would be the perfect way to stimulate responses.

I heart/hate WSS contest

There are two prizes being given away. The first is a complete edition of the boardgame SPQR: Volume II The Great Battles of History. Yes, it's the whole thing with scenarios included, so a really valuable bit of loot! The second prize is one of the unassembled kits from Battle Flag's new line of laser-cut Western buildings with decals. For more information, have a look at their site. Incidentally, we'll be giving away more goodies from Battle Flag in issue 60, so keep an eye out for that.

In order to participate, we want you to write to us and tell us (in at least 100 words) one of the following:

  • What I'd most like to see changed or improved in WSS
  • What I like about WSS and what theme(s) I'd like to see in upcoming issues
  • A reaction to one of the columns by Rick Priestley or Richard Clarke

We aren't judging the quality or content of your entries – everyone is equally likely to win a prize. However, we may well be printing feedback online or in the magazine, so you should be OK with that before you send in your writing. The contest will run through the 23rd of March. After that, we will choose two winners at random.

Please send your entries to our editor-in-chief (Jasper Oorthuys). This contest is also open to anyone who wants to participate, so please tell your friends. However, you're only eligible if you've signed up for our newsletter by the contest deadline (yea, there's always a catch). To sign up, just go to wssmagazine.com/cms, scroll to the bottom of this page, and fill in the form in the lower right of the screen. It only takes a few moments. Our newsletter is pretty neat, so we think you'll enjoy it. If not, you can always unsubscribe after the contest. So anyway, get writing and send us your glowing praise or most withering critique.
