This year, I got to go to Cancon, and I was quite excited, not only will I be going to the gaming event but also my first-ever trip to Australia.
The days leading up to Cancon were a bit nerve-wracking. Those following the news will no doubt have heard of the fires plaguing the region. The fire was also affecting the flights in and out, in fact, the airport I was flying to shut down the day before I left. Luckily for me, it was reopened the day I flew in. Cancon itself is massive – three main buildings held the miniature gaming areas as well as stores, with another building housing the card gamers.
